Batad Rice Terraces - Memorial

Took a 2 day trip to Batad Rice Terraces beginning of April. It was a 10 hour drive - no planes - phew!  Worth it, yeah, but exhausting - need a vacation after this.

PJ Memorial - 71ish - around 30ish bible studies. I got sick during this, so I am here, but not seen in the pics - but I was there. . . barely . . .

The little girl does not know a word of PJ although raised by PJ parents. She only understands Tagalog.  I could learn from her . . In green, unbaptized publisher.  In turquoise is our latest need greater, Sarina from Baypoint PJ cong.
The Baesa gang

The Bible student brought her aunt for the 1st time who is not studying or interested in studying. They had these matching outfits made especially for this Memorial.

The CLASSIC Indian smile (?!)

So quick updates: Studies are doing well, progressing, making decisions about what-to and what-not-to celebrate.  One barely- just-started-studying-student, studies with a PI sister in Tagalog, is already asking if they should stop praying to their gods since Jah is the at.mahan/The Most Hight per Psalms 83:18 -

Another progressive study, only in Chapter 3 of BT book - hides her literature from her husband due to opposition, last time, he tried to burn the bible, but the stove wouldn't ignite, so he ripped each page out one by one while cursing god out. We study pseudo-style at jollibee.  Her 8 yr old son knows that when they go to jollibee, "mums going to see her baba-ji."  Yep. That is me.  His mum's "baba-ji."

Anyway, husband found the hidden literature and went ballistic, (her son whispered "mum! I told you, you should hide baba-ji's books in my toys, dad never looks in my toys!" - smart kid eh?)- Mum silently prays "please Jah, don't let him see the Bible or the magazines," which, btw, are on the bookshelf, which is in front of him, directly at his eye level.  He has only seen the Family Happiness is book and is ripping it to shreds. All of a sudden, he grabs the magazine right next to the WT's, - wait for it - the magazines he grabbed were HIS OWN secular mags that he had brought with him from India.  Yelling and screaming at Jah, he rips his own magazines to shreds, thinking they are the WTs. . . .  need I say, "hello, angels!!"

Other updates:
  • it is stinking hotter than gehenna. The humidity!
  • I killed my first big fist sized cockroach, alone.  Almost called the neighbours, but I did it.
  • More need greaters coming from Baypoint next week.

  • Sarah gets married in October. woo hoo!
  • I am studying with a  PJ "nastik" - an atheist - Very challenging - mad at god for deep family issues.
