This week is Special Convention. Many cong including ours are welcoming the delegates at airports and hotels. Last night was our shift at the NAIA airport Terminal 1. The Special Convention is for the Tagalog lang. cong, so we are not invited, but our DC has been termed - not sure if theocratic-ally correct - as a National Convention because ALL the english congs in the Philippines have been invited. That means many will be flying in from islands such as Iloilo, Puerta Princessa, Bohol, Cebu etc.

It was a long night - our shift was 9pm - 12am
It's gonna be a hectic-fun week. We have luncheons and dinner's for the delegates. Performances. Yes - it is true, there will be a bhangra dance. And yes, it's us and the missionaries.

Funny story - Brothers from the Branch were also at the airport to pick up someone. And dummy-me not realizing that when a Branch member picks up someone from the airport, it's usually Branch-level pick up. So dummy-me, "Hi guys, are you picking up your buddies?" Silence. A few "um's", and then, "um, well, actually we're here to pick up someone from the Branch." And gracefully I am like,"what OmG! are you guys picking up Brother . . . ."
