Meet the Grimms!
Benjamin and Sujata.
They have been temporary Special Pioneers here in the Philippines to help in the PJ field for the past one year and will continue to do so for another year.
They were Bethelites in Germany (Benjamin 14 yrs and Sujata 4 yrs – married 5 years) and after hearing that there was a need in the PJ field they chose to leave Bethel to assist in the PJ field in the PI.
These guys are my “idols!” cuz if I could choose between Bethel and the PI, you who know me know what I would have chosen (

).
Their initial plan was to come for 1 year, however, as they saw the great need here, they decided to serve another year
(don’t tell them but I think it will be longer). They had to go back to Germany
a few days ago because their roundtrip airline ticket had a 1 yr expiration - so they will be back in 3 weeks.
This time, the airline ticket they purchased to come back to the PI is a one way ticket
(don’t tell them but I think they will stay longer).
These guys rock!
Benjamin is an Indian-food-eating-german/hindi/PJ-speaking-German.
An awesome pioneer-elder and my personal
I.T-mouse-catching brother.
Sujata is a terrific hindi/PJ/german speaking excellent Indian-cook.
A true pioneer and a very dear friend who is especially there for me during my homesick days.
Sujata was raised in Punjab but grew up speaking Hindi and her family moved to Germany when she was a young teenager.
In Germany the Grimms were in the Hindi group thus since they arrived in the PI they have had to learn how to read PJ. Benjamin is one of the instructors for the PJ class.
You may also recognize them in the new study edition WT – Sept. 15 2011 page 28.
They will be moving to a new apt. when they return and guess what??
It just so happens to be walking distance from me – how cool is that?
p.s. June 1, 2011 Public WT(on poverty) page 10 mentions “Eric, who lives in the Philippines, says:” - Eric is an African elder in my congregation. Page 9 has the picture of his hand LOL!
