SLIDE SHOW:  Cheetsos and Sarah having a blast in the Philippines

Well, sarah, kristen and jared arrived and left and already they are missed.  all the bros were bro-mancing with jared, he became “one of them” instantly.  sukha (blind boy) wanted to know where kuya jared and kristen were asking if we could call them.  raj also wanted to know how the white “jatinder” and “krisvinder” were.  and many calls are still talking about sarah, that girl who looks indian and speaks punjabi. yes these guys made quite an impression.  a good one.  one study’s husband said “thank you” when he found out that the reason for their trip was to see the punjabi’s on the island.  that makes quite an impact, esp. when one comes from the u.s.a, - a “rich, well-off” country.  and the brothers were definitely encouraged to see a non-Indian give a public pj talk.  so we will always remember this trip – it was special in some unique special way. we all felt that way but not really sure why – was it the long-long intense, hot-sweaty service days? the zone visit or the zone lunch where someone in the car group (not saying any names) was banned for talking for 10 min, but the ZOV asked for the “ban” to be removed so that this person would not die and could ask about bsss! (that was soooo hard!), hanging out with “normal” SP’s and Bethelites, or sarah throwing money at the bethelite and then making a run for it, or getting home from service at 11pm!, or those fun relaxing mornings having chai and eggs and doing the daily text together, or looking for that “how homeless can he be”, homeless man?  or learning how to say “bye-yutt poh!” (Jared “yo-yo” style), or blind sukha hugging jared before we could introduce him, and demanding, “kuya, today you study with me!”, or raj’s surprise attending the talk, (or was it my “going-on-vacation-purple!” polish . .. could be debah?), or sarah and kristen pretending to fall and then really falling in public on the beach, our “our band” in bohol, Sarah’s cookies that she baked in the USA since we have no ovens (thanks! they were awesome!), or snorkeling -  or - was it just seeing that no matter where you go in Jehovah’s organization, “home is where your brothers and sisters are and where you are needed?”
