| SRK in Manila! Awful movie. The message was terrible. |
Best
compliment ever! Re: our new volunteers. Sarah
and Stephanie are here and it’s been a fantastic witness – without saying a
word – preaching without speaking! Let
me explain. A PJ man, after telling him
that more help from USA is here, said: “
Relig leaders tell us, ‘give us money - donate to us,’ always asking for $$ but you people, on the other hand, are spending/giving
away your money in this godly work, I don’t think I know any religion
that does that . . .but, I mean, umm , why? don’t you get jealous of others having more
money, and buying things , don’t you wish you had more, don’t you want more?” We told him we are the richest people in the world! Then explained that we have what we need, no
luxuries, just what we need, and in addition to that, we can serve God
full-time, and then his wife finished my sentence off with, “what could be
better than that?” Exactly! These
studies are just so touched by the need-greaters. Here the studies are aching-dying to go to “The”
USA, and here we are exchanging a life of “luxury” to living in a poorer less
prominent country so from their point-of-view – this is puzzling. And this puzzling is a great conversation
starter. Another PJ woman asked me what Hallelujah
meant because her sikh relatives are attending church and when they pray to
Jesus they always say hallelujah. By the end of the discussion, she had me
write down the scriptures and the meaning of the word and was laughing because,
“they worship Jesus and yet are saying ‘praise to Jah,’ and they don’t even know it.
I will ask them about this.” This week is CO visit and our monthly PJ public
talk/WT so that’s 3 extra meetings for us . . . following week is DC.
