Do you remember the above video from 2011? So that's Monica. She stopped studying back in 2011. She has resumed her study. She's the one I've been writing about these past 2 weeks, the one with the altar of gods. This week, she asked me to look at the picture of Hanuman, the monkey deity. Something must have clicked because she says, "Why do we pray to Hanuman when he is praying to Ram? If Hanuman is a god, then why would a god be praying to another god, and so then why are we foolishly praying to the one praying?" Exactly . . .(changing the subject: Hanuman was Sukhi's god since childhood - when we were watching the Sophia-Be Bold movie, remember Naaman's mean servants who wore their idols on their neck: " 'These' are our gods!"? Well, Sukhi laughed at that part, and I asked, "Hey what god was that?" and she smiles embarrassingly, shaking her head, and says, "Hanuman.")
Monica has been studying for the past 5 weeks, twice a week, (she is moving in Feb, that's why we are doing double-duty) and is not comfortable praying to Jehovah yet. But this week was her 1st attempt to attend the meeting - and off course, it was pouring buckets! We were not even sure if we could make it to pick her up - so I was praying, "Jehovah please split the "red sea" today so Monica can make it." Meanwhile, unbeknownst to me, Monica was also praying, I think at the same time, and asked, "please stop the rain because I can't attend if it floods, and it will be too difficult with 2 children., if you stop the rain so that I can make it to the meeting today, I will believe that you did hear me." 10 minutes before we arrived, streets were flooding, but by the time we got off the corner, it had stopped, bright sunshine dried up the streets within minutes - by the time we picked her up, it didn't even look like it had been raining - so yeah, she believes Jehovah heard her prayer in a very personal way. That's her above at her 1st meeting - that she loved. And Reetu was the one coaching her thru the whole meeting, "Get up, now we sing, . . .time to pray . . . this is the question, and here is the answer . . .". It was really heart warming to watch.
