It's the worst possible time to travel but the best possible time to preach to people, whom, we may be meeting for the 1st
and, perhaps, the last time . . . .
For example: the girl in stripes was visiting from Australia for the holidays. Her aunt (middle) is a bible study. "Stripes" has only lived in Australia for a few months, there for college, never met JW's in India. She listened intently to our study, watched the "Why Study The Bible Video," took the latest mags and jotted down my email, and the jw.org site.
THIS WAS THE ONLY DAY WE COULD HAVE MET HER! She leaves for Australia in a few days. And why is the Aunt talking? Cuz the other girl wanted to know if Jehovah's day is close. I started and then Aunt took over and using the brochure, pictures explained it fantastically! And the Aunt has only been studying a few months.
Meanwhile, sitting outside her house is our young brother preaching to her son and the cousins. See below.
Below: "Accidentally" found this house.
(Btw - "Accidentally" is the name of the angel who always helps us find these houses ;-0 - The tricycle driver took us to the wrong house but the correct street. Knocked on a few doors to no avail. Then a lady came out and told us to go to the yellow house. I knocked and the PJ lady thought, due to my sunglasses, that I was a foreigner and came out to direct us to the neighbours house but was pleasantly surprised that this white-looking-chick is speaking PJ - So it was all just one big fat accident!)
Only 1 of the women lives here.
The rest are visiting for the holidays. One use to study near QC, and hopefully will resume. The householder asked the difference between our religion and theirs ( mostly Sikh sprinkled with a bit of Hindu Mata worship). "Do you know where we come from? If you know the answer to that question, all your questions regarding God and religion will be answered." They were anxiously waiting for the answer Saturday but I had to cancel cuz I was sick!!!! Let's hope their appetite is still whet this week.
Below: Remember a couple of weeks ago we were stuck in the rain and talked to this guy who had a bizillion questions for 3 hours! Well, he is only home from college cuz of the holidays. We talked to him for 2 more hours. His questions! man! "So are the ones who will survive just lucky that God selects them?" Dude! Yaar! are you kidding me! was what my inner voice said but no, calmly we reasoned that survivors will be those who love what God loves and hates what God hates - read Malachi 3:16, and then said, "Jehovah is knocking on your door and asking you, '(said his name) would you like to learn about what I hate and what I love?" And before we could finish, he was like, "YES! I want to have a study!". So let's hope Brother Ash can coordinate with his very busy college schedule.
