The Bay Pointers -,Unforgettable Moments

The Bay Pointers arrive for Joey's wedding.

Alan's first words to me:
"I can't wait to go home."
Wwhhhhaaattt!
But he had valid reasons. Too many foot bridges to climb affected his knees and the gross poverty just got to him. We do understand. This was my
1st time (maybe last in The PI)  seeing Alan at the Bethel KH.

Meet Nervous Joey!

East meets West.
You have here PJ cong. publishers from Baypoint, Hayward, San Jose, USA.  Coventry, England.  Germany (Hindi).  New York, USA.  Quezon City and Paranaque, The PI.  Surrey, Canada.
Pretty cool.  Joey, you are loved.  I don't think my Body of Elders would attend my wedding here(if ever - I'm not- just if ever).  Would you?  You know who you are. . .

The wedding was Saturday. We preformed a Bhangra dance.
The following day . . .

Brandon gave a PJ Public Talk in QC PJ cong.
His PJ his excellent!

A few days later . . .

How cool is this?  The Baldwins took the time to come visit us in Paranaque! This made my week! It was so encouraging that they made themselves available to come meet a few studies.  Yumi, in the back, is the Canadian sister from Surrey PJ cong. She lovingly volunteered to bring them to us, spend the night and get them to the airport the following day before she headed back to QC.  So awesome!

We met at the KH about 3pm, which is a 5 min walk from my house.

And it begins. . . A white man speaking fluent PJ reaching the hearts of PJs.  This man never sits with us. Not only did he join the study but opened up.  That's more than he's ever done. I think it was the "Dude factor" of Brandon that did that.

The bible students were puzzled.
They asked, "We know why Sukhi chose this religion. But you, you are American and you are Chinese (background) and you are Japanese. You could have picked any religion.  ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹ line ਕਿਉਂ choose ਕੀਤੀ?  You could have picked any religion. Why did you pick this one.  And are all JW's required to learn PJ?  Whenever Sukhi brings someone new to our home, they are always learning PJ! Is that a requirement?  Do you preach to other languages like english?  We thought this was a Philippino religion! "
So one by one, they each told their story.
Each one was special in a unique way.
Yumi - we use to hide from the JWs.
Karen: Never, ever! prayed in her life - the 1st God she prayed to was Jehovah.
Brandon - raised in the truth but had to make the truth his own after a few bumps in the road.
It was a beautiful thing to watch.  For the 1st time they saw with their own eyes that Jehovah's organization is an international brotherhood.  I think I had taken that for granted.  Not realizing that we know how international we are - we see it, we experience it, we taste it - all the time!
They don't.

This guy fell in love with Brandon. Invited him to his home in India! And said the next time they visited he would go preaching with them.  Ha! We'll see about that.
Studying at this house, then the wife, then her brother, then her cousin in law, and in between dinner and ice cream we left 11:30pm. We were fantastically tired and satisfied.
p.s Good thing we had the key to the house the Baldwins were gonna sleep at.
