Zaragozas and I took a short trip to Bohol.
But attended an English meeting the day before and what a wonderful surprise it was to see the speaker - our former CO/English who is currently serving in Bethel.
The talk was about feeling broken. Psalms 34:18/31:12. In Japan there is an artform called Kintsugi where they fix valuable broken pieces of pottery.
They stick the broken pieces together.
Not with glue.
Not with cement.
With GOLD!
So the pottery become more valuable AFTER it was broken and mended with gold.
Likewise, imagine how Jehovah views us. Broken, yes.
But mended with gold.
Vacation in Calape, Bohol.
Took a night Kayak-firefly tour in a Mangrove river. Miraculously amazing. Breathtaking.
No moon. No noise. The stars were shining brightly.
It was like watching dancing stars in the mangroves. We saw 1000's of fireflies just dancing away. We even held a handful of fireflies in our hand.
The picture below is not mine (google images). It's the best I could find because no camera could capture the reality of what we saw.
