| Brothers going to the territory in Laguna. 2 walking (hand-in-hand) and 2 are on the motorcycle |
LAGUNA CITY: Is outside Metro Manila, less than 2 hour drive. You may recall a previous blog entry titled, "15 cousins"; they are all from Laguna. So the Branch decided to have a "satelite" PJ public talk and for our QC (Quezon City) PJ group to do service with the local Tagalog cong in Laguna and invite people to the talk. So, how did it turn out? Well, considering that "that day" there just happened to be a baba-ji visiting speaker at the local temple, about 16-19 interested ones came which besides a few of the "15 cousins," included some 1st-time newbies who came right after their special religious program. Sister Sheila, who is one of only 2 sisters, (that's right, 2!) that is reaching out to the PJ's showed us her RV book which had 109 names of PJ individuals. She started to tell us that she only expected about 2-3 of us from QC PJ to come today, and broke out in happy-tears as she expressed how unbelievable it was to her that about 25 of us came to Laguna to help out today. And half of the local (clueless in PJ) Tagalog cong not only attended the PJ talk but worked in service with our group. It was a wonderful interchange of encouragement and the night ended well with one brother, in passing, comment, "we are gonna share what happened today in the next elders meeting."
