Phil Ayala/Super Typhoon/BSCE!

 Super Typhoon:  Metro Manila was not affected but sadly other islands i.e. Tacloban was hit hard. We have no updates. The storm completely shutdown all communication.   We are waiting to hear from the brothers. Some of the families in my cong who have relatives in Tacloban were trying to hold it together today, even with a smile! The unknown is torture for them. We keep them all in our prayers.

                            Phil Ayala arrived from the States at a nice 3:40 in the morning a few days ago. 

It was great to see a face from Hayward PJ Cong! Made me homesick. But it's awesome to have him here. The "bethel-boys" initiated him right away with fish-liver for dinner. ummmmmmm - No,  I did not and, Yes, he did.  It was gagging-ly fun (for me to watch).  

Sukhi (above) is sad because her husband found her, hidden, PJ NWT and tried to burn it over the stove. The flame would not ignite so then he, while yelling disgusting curse words in PJ, ripped out the pages, section by section.  He ripped all other literature too, but when he ripped into the Bible, it broke her heart because, "it's God's word," she said, "how could he. . . "   

Phil was able to cheer her up, (below)and give her his Bible, and reminded her that it's the words of God, that are in her heart, that have more value than the book itself,  if she applies and remembers what she has learnt (what a beautiful point eh?) She remains determined to keep her study going no matter what.

That's all for now, but wait! We gotta talk about BSSS, AKA correctly, The Bible School For Christian Evangelizers!!! Like Wow, Thank you, Amazing, Historic, Miraculous, "are you kidding me," "what-da-what", just does not cover it.The letter was read at the PI Branch during Morning Worship, and about 8am, my cell started beeping off the hook!  beep-beep-beep-, beep-beep, beep-beep, and I was like, what the heck man, (I was in a super bad mood due to insomnia). First message from a very jokey-type elder: 'Single sisters will be allowed to attend Bible School,', and I, off course, do not find his joke very funny this morning.  Such a cruel joke. My response, "is this is a joke?". Him: "Would I lie to you? (and don't answer that)".  I continue with my morning as if nothing has happened. Then another Bethelite text, and another, and another, and nnnnnnoooooowwwwww 
I'm starting to feel  like OMG- 
THIS! IS! NOT! A! JOKE!  An unforgettable moment.
