Malaysian SP's

An adventurous week:
Saw a Jeepney driver chugging down a bottle of beer while driving - a homeless man told me, "I love you," and we were right in the line of fire of a lovers tiff when the glass bottle she threw at him, shattered at our feet and only just missed our eyes!   Dude! We don't have time for this, we got calls to call on - let's get out of here! Need to get to Bethel to pick up a couple from Malaysia who are attending the current BSCC.

ONLY IN THE PI: This is not illegal - getting a quick ride to the bus station.  Couple from Malaysia is sitting on my right.
The brother comes from a Roman Catholic background, was studying to become a pastor before.  We are on our way to our PJ Born-again study.  Perfect!

The girls personal bible was the very version the Brother read when he was young. Had a nice discussion with the whole family - I would never have thought of using John 3:16 to explain "kismet." The brother emphasized the point in 3:16 that God gives "everlasting life," whereas "kismet" gives death (i.e. when someone dies, it was his "kismet" - destiny - thus kismet does not harmonize with John 3:16) .  Next week the questions the student would like this brother to answer are: Hell (the Lazarus/Abraham illustration), speaking in tongues and miraculous tongues.  Man! When I asked Jehovah for training in this area, boy did He provide it! I can't wait. I play the role of the "invisible" translator because the couple speaks Tamil.

My favourite fruit is Mangoe and Orange.

So how excited was I to try a Purple Mangosteen for the first time.

It has the texture of a mango but in the shape of orange slices - tart and sweet. Its my new favourite!
