From USA to Thailand

In the USA I: saw my 97!year old Nani-ji – That means 5 generations on my Mum’s side are living; Attended PJ Assembly in Fremont; Went to SF;  Went to Napa (wine tasting!) ; Went to Half Moon Bay 7 times! (That was my wish!) ; Ate lots and lots of Taco bell.  Yum!; Got hit by a 7 foot sneaker wave at Monterey – Glad to be alive.  Alliz well.

Got back to The PI and 7 days later we went to Thailand’s Special Convention.

This couple on the left was amazing! Originally from the USA. They asked us when we were returning to The PI; next week we explained. Naturally we asked when they were returning to Nebraska; their reply? - WE'RE NOT GOING BACK! We were like "Whaaatttt?!!!" He took early retirement.  They sold their house.  This was in the works before they were invited to this convention so since they got invited, they thought, 'let's be practical, we may as well go with a one way ticket!".

Interestingly, Brother Lett in his concluding prayer (note he did not pray for this in The PI but with reason: The PI JW ration is 1-500 vs Thailand is 1-16000!) asked that the delegates attending be moved to come and serve here in Thailand.  That was cool.  And this couple answered that prayer before he said it.

Another UsA couple sitting in front of me, said they had already been discussing about moving to Thailand. Now they were REALLY thinking it. Then, while waiting in line for the bathroom, the american single sister in front of me said she had just moved to Thailand 2 months ago.  Again, after the program a random american sister gave me a notepad, and she said she moved to Thailand 14 months ago.  Again and again, my favourite one was this couple, married 3 years, from Canada, 21-23 yrs of age, "Yeah, well, like, um,  we moved here few months ago, and yeah, we sold everything and . . .."   Yes, I just had to ask, "What?  You sold you bicycle and Barbie doll?"  They laughed, she said, "It was a tricycle actually."  But amazing - people of all ages, from 20's to 30's to retirement age.  It made us feel sooooo good about being in The PI.

But here's the kicker, that has got me wanting to visit Bangkok in the near future.  Below, meet the Urdu group from Bangkok!
The story begins 2 years ago - burnings of churches in Pakistan caused refugees to enter Bangkok. So these are Pakistani Christians.  There was already a hindi group in the Thai cong.  So these Urdu speaking christians who sound totally PJ,  (they sound PJ like the Caleb Shahmukhi videos but they read the Urdu script)attended Hindi meetings. No problem.  PJ, Hindi, Urdu all get along just fine.

One day, Bethel bros. ordered Hindi literature.  When the box arrived, the entire 2 boxes were Urdu!!!! The brother(s) "accidentally" checked Urdu . . .hmmmm.  Thus now the group is Urdu.  Sister Rakhi, in yellow sari, is a PJ sister from NY Hindi Cong. who speaks pakki PJ.  She is aching to get me over there, and since attending the convention, Bros Lett's prayer, and meeting the Urdu group, I am feeling the urge, but perhaps for a week, sometime later next year.  Definitely praying about it.
