Dec. 2011 How to ride a Jeepny/Hindi Public Talk

20 PJ's attended the Hindi Public Talk

Total attendance 79

Jagdish brought along her husband, uncle, son and cousin.  It took us 2 hours one way to pick them up from from fairview.  I was home at 9pm!
Total attendance at the Hindi Public Talk was 79 which included both the Hindi and PJ group.  20 PJ bible studies were counted, not including the children.  And the response was particularly surprising because it was xmas day and most of our studies told us they could not come due to being gone on holiday.  So this was a pleasant surprise.  The speaker was a Hindi speaking brother from the India Branch.  Many from India Bethel were here this week for HIS training.  Our meeting last week was like a mini-international-convention.  Members from India Branch, Sri Lanka Branch and Fiji Branch.  A nice treat.  It was especially nice to take some of these Brothers on our studies, and even though they cannot speak PJ, a nice witness was given in that they could see Indian-Men preaching.  They also noticed  dark-skinned south indians with fair-skinned northern indians working together, no caste distinctions . . .interesting.  So made it through the xmas ਗੱੜ-ਬੱੜ(never enter a mall at this time - for a taste, take all the people out of Valley-fair mall and stuff them into one safeway store and then maneuver your way thru the crowds).  And new years?  OMG!  We were advised to be home early from service that day.  There are no firework rules,  no fire cracker rules and no rules on safety.  Sold on every street corner.  Kids have been left maimed.  And the noise!  wow! I have never heard anything like it - no joke - sounds like a war zone right outside my apt . . .and please note:  I'm on the 11th floor.  The next morning, is that fog?  Nope.  Just residue of the nights events, left-over smoke.  Glad that is over.  We have Zone visit to look forward to next month and a possible PJ public talk.  yes!
