Week 6 Lockdown - Can The Daily Text teach The Truth?

"Kalyug adha piya" - "Kalyug is only half way done." The Hindu teaching of Kalyug ("era of darkness")  is that it is 100,000? 400,000?  years long).  Rekha texted that to me last week in response to an article from jw.org  

Although we've discussed the scriptures in BH Chapter 9 she continues to believe that the New World is very far off.  And now, with her being stuck in India it's difficult to conduct a study face to face due to weak internet.  She can't even open the links to our website. 

She asked if I would copy and paste the Daily Text to her daily. No problem.  We study on audio through messenger but she has no publication. She's upset with god. Why can't he fix it now?  I send  the Daily Text - she would come back with a "yeah but. . " or "so then why. . ." good questions, and spiritually hungry. . .maybe even starving.   

April 21 our Daily Text was about Joseph's trials. Her reply below: 

"Just as Jehovah did not abandon Joseph, let Him also hold onto our hand.  May we all have Jehovah's blessing and during difficult times may we keep on trusting in Jehovah." 

Finally, a positive reply about Jehovah! Even without a proper bible study she figured that out.  And what, from The Daily Text?  Jehovah makes up for any lack we have.

On a sad note. Remember a few years ago I posted this picture "15 cousins"?  The sister sitting next to me died suddenly of a heart attack at age 63.  We were shocked. Her daughter is in our group and the 2 of them started planting seeds of truth in San Pedro, Laguna over 9 years ago. 

Her daughter said that these kids, who are now all grown up, have been sending her texts about the hope of the resurrection.  

Funeral talk yesterday showed 300+ participants on Zoom. She was a super hardworking sister and very much loved. 

On a positive note, we had English assembly USA program.
