TAAL ਕਰਕੇ (Because of Taal) 1st stop Quezon City

Earlier we had been invited to Shep's wedding, the Saturday after Taal erupted.  Shep graduated from BSSB in 2009 and was assigned to work The PJ Field (there was no pre-group yet).

But "because of Taal", I went to QC earlier, Wednesday.
And attended PJ QC's midweek meeting where unexpectedly, for me that is, Reetu is announced as a Regular Pioneer. Can you believe that I got to be there for that?

And Jehovah did more than that! We got to attend the annual pioneer meeting with the local BOE together. I hadn't even prayed for that! But how special to have a taste of progress in an established cong. Something we don't see too often when assisting groups.

Above is Sister Kuldeep. She was baptized at the same assembly as Harjit (Jagdish's son) and she too has started regular pioneering. Her 2 daughters started to study in the Philippines but were baptized in Canada a couple of years ago.

Above - QC PJ Pioneer meeting January 2020

Below - Shep weds Jash.
As a couple they will serve as COs in the English field.
You can see Budhranis, Reetu, Jagdish and Harjit, Kuldeep and 2 of her daughters.
It was fun to see former studies now serving Jehovah.

Gems I picked up along the way on this trip:

1)  You marry 3 people,  1.  The person you think he/she is 2.  The person who they are really are 3.  The person who they will become.

2)  You might at times feel like a theocratic widow when your husband is busy with cong activities . . .You must love packing!  Insist on washing dishes even if they say no.  Insist.

3)  Jehovah is a last minutes God.  Job got sick 1st, ready to die.  Last minute Jehovah stepped in.
Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego were put in the fire 1st.  Ready to die.  Last minute, Jehovah stepped in.
Daniel was thrown in the lions pit.  Ready to become lunch.  Last minute, Jehovah stepped in.  We are not there yet.

Next stop - Bataan
